Seeking new paths of expression, Josef Pankiewicz reaches for electronic instruments. Creating timbres on synthesizers, he demonstrates how combining just a few values (colors), selected in the right proportions, can lead to surprising results. Even the smallest changes can create a significant breakthrough.
The main inspirations in the process of creating the Ritual of Colors project include contemporary minimalist music, repetitive piano techniques, the deep sound of synthesizers and melodic-harmonic improvisations. In his solo project, Josef also presents his instrumental pieces for piano accompanied by subtle electronics, ambient sound and trance.
